We currently offer two wool bases:
1) 100% sustainable Australian Merino (untreated)
2) 100% locally grown and milled New Zealand Corriedale (untreated)
All of our wool is sourced from farms that use environmentally conscious practices and do not incorporate mulesing into their business. Our New Zealand Corriedale wool comes from a mill that raises the sheep, processes, and spins the wool all in one location: their family farm. All bases are non-superwash due to the negative impact that superwash treating wool has on the environment.
Wool is dyed with Tasmanian-sourced products. Be aware that colors may bleed during first wash and it is recommended that you always wash your wool with gentle soaps/wool wash in cold water and lay flat to dry in shade. Do not iron.
Read here for more information on using hand-dyed yarns.
It is expected that every so often, a skein will have a knot. Although I try to catch these wherever possible, sometimes they will get missed. If I have noticed a knot in a skein, this will be documented on the product label and offered at a slightly discounted price. All skeins are evaluated before dyeing begins to check for knots to ensure that I catch as many as possible before they are sent out to customers.
Test skeins are offered at a discounted price so that I can play with some new colorways. They are still the same high quality as my permanent colorways, but are dyed in lots of 1-2 skeins only. Test skeins are also more likely to have knots as I tend to reserve the knotted skeins for playing with new colors.
Yarn labels are printed on 100% recycled paper.
Products are packaged using 100% recycled and 40% post-consumer content brown paper bags that are biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, and made in the USA.
Packages are secured with organic, unbleached twine that is all-natural, GMO-free, and vegan. No plastic tape is used in our packaging.

Shipping within United States
All parcels sent within the Untied States are tracked and you will receive your tracking number in your shipping notification. You have a few shipping options to choose from depending on your needs. Those shipping destinations closer to Ohio will have faster shipping turnaround times and vice versa.
Shipping to Australia
There are two shipping options for parcels being sent to Australia. First Class International shipments do not have tracking information and are priced at a significantly reduced rate as a thank-you to my Australian customer base. If you would like your parcel to be tracked, you will need to upgrade shipping to Priority Mail International, which will be charged the normal rate as determined by USPS.
For economy shipping without tracking, choose First Class International rates.
For standard shipping with tracking, choose Priority International rates.
For express shipping with tracking, choose Priority Express International rates.
All prices are calculated by USPS.
