And That's a Wrap KAL

Start Date: 17 September
End Date: 29 October
Pattern Available here. Kits available here.

What is the KAL?

Over the next 6 weeks, I will be hosting a knitalong for my “And That’s a Wrap” knitting pattern. The KAL will be very informal with casual weekly goals to keep you motivated. If you join late or don’t meet that week’s goal – don’t worry! You will still be eligible for the final giveaway.

To be entered into the giveaway, share your WIP or FO photos on Instagram using the tag #andthatsawrapKAL. Please be aware that photos posted from private accounts will not be visible. Be sure to post from a public account to ensure entry into the giveaway. I will also create a thread in my Ravelry Group for discussion and WIP/FO sharing.

The final giveaway prize will be a discount code to receive $50 AUD off your next knitcraft & knittery purchase. If any other small businesses would like to donate prizes to be offered along the way, please send me an email at info@knitcraftandknittery.com.

Requirements to participate:

You must be making the “And That’s a Wrap” knitting pattern from knitcraft & knittery. There are two versions included in the PDF that both qualify: one lace and one stockinette.

*If you are knitting the pattern, you can use your yarn of choice. It does not have to be from my shop.

*If you are using one of my wrap kits to participate in the KAL, you will be entered into a separate exclusive giveaway for a $15 AUD coupon. It is possible (although unlikely) to win both prizes. This gives you another chance to win as a thank you for purchasing a kit.

*You are welcome to start the KAL at any time and everyone that posts progress shots before Oct 29 will have a chance to win the final giveaway.

Weekly Goals:

Week 1 (Sept 17 – 23): Selecting your yarn. This pattern was designed to be paired with indie-dyed yarn, so show a local dyer some love when choosing your materials for this wrap.

Week 2 (Sept 24 – 30): Completing the buttonholes/Catch-up for newcomers.

Week 3 (Oct 1 – 7): Finish colour 1.

Week 4 (Oct 8 – 14): Start striping. This marks the halfway point for the KAL.

Week 5 (Oct 15 – 21): Finish stripes.

Week 6 (Oct 22 – 28): Final ribbing, bind off, and blocking! You made it!

Giveaway Winner Chosen: Oct 29 (announced through Instagram).
